Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins is also referred to as Antonietta Gonzalez-Collins in both the United States and Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. She anchors SportsNation and serves as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She was hired by ESPN in the year 2016. She's the daughter of the TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been bi-lingual since nine years old a useful talent that enabled her to get her first job in the production department with Univision in Miami that provided her with the opportunity to be a part of the production team for national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was employed as a reporter by the CBS station as a sports journalist. In 2009 she relocated away from Texas to Rio Grande Valley where she became a news correspondent at KNVO TV 48 Univision. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley, Texas in which she was an editor for KNVO48 Univision and Fox2 News. She also filled in for weather anchors, sports anchors and forecasters. Later, she was anchor and reporter on Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was given more responsibilities. She was a reporter for events like the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and NBA Postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. Also, she produced Univision 23's local sports channel Accion Deportiva Extra, on where she was anchor. She was appointed as the sports anchor by Despierta America Deportes for their morning show. In the same role on the magazine program of the network Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents come from Veracruz Mexico. They eventually moved in Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November of 1985. Her older sister is also hers. In 1992, the family relocated to Miami following the move out of Mexico into the US. After a while, her parents separated and, in 1995 Fabio Fajardo remarried. He died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. It was on a time of summer when she was with her sibling living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had gotten an employment. Antonietta was about to graduate from high school but already knew what she was going to be doing. In the end she fell in love with the campus. They also offered her a an academic major. After graduation, she went to the University as a major in media studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also the WRMU's 91.1FM station, where she was employed for a number of years, was a friend. The passion he had for journalism as well as confidence in herself encouraged her. In turn, she was determined to achieve his standards and not fail him.
